Xenith, the Detroit-based maker of football helmets and other football gear, has named Izell Reese, president and CEO of youth sports experiences company RCX Sports, to its board of directors. .

A former collegiate and professional athlete, Reese played for the University of Alabama football team at Birmingham. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 1998 and spent seven years as an NFL safety and cornerback with the Cowboys, Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills.
Reese has dedicated his career to positively impacting the lives of young athletes through sport, and in 2019 created and launched RCX Sports, an experiential events company designed to engage young athletes, families and sports fans. new, innovative and experiential way.
Reese was instrumental in the discussions that led to RCX’s partnership with NFL FLAG. As an official operating partner of NFL FLAG, RCX now also oversees NFL FLAG leagues and tournaments, with a particular focus on supporting local leagues and growing participants, especially among girls. As part of growing female participation, NFL FLAG helped orchestrate the launch of women’s flag football as a collegiate sport for the NAIA and NJCAA.
Reese has also partnered with professional leagues including the NHL, MLB and Jr. NBA.
