Festival organizers hope Batiste’s generous donation will encourage other disability awareness advocates to offer their support to the cause.
Unlimited Possibilities for All Disabilities (UPFAD) announced that Columbus Area Executive Coach and CEO Tauna Batiste has made a generous donation to support the organization’s upcoming flagship event, the 8th Annual All-Ability Festival. disabilities. The festival will take place at Genoa Park in Columbus on July 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and all are welcome to attend the free event.
Nicole Carter is the founder of UPFAD, a social enterprise owned by women, minorities and veterans, which strengthens the entrepreneurial activities of people with disabilities. To achieve this mission, the organization organizes many community events and creates educational materials to encourage acceptance of disabilities.
The All Disabilities Festival is one of the organization’s flagship events. Carter founded the event after meeting Batiste, who served as Carter’s professional coach and mentor and encouraged Carter to start the event in person. Batiste is the founder and CEO of Drew Alexander Co., a national consulting firm specializing in nonprofit management and leadership development. She also founded the Next Woman Up leadership program and its namesake counseling and coaching programs for aspiring and seasoned entrepreneurs.
