RigServ Opens Global Resource Center in Sri Lanka, Plans to Equip Local IT Industry with Global Expertise and Exposure

February 6, Colombo: RigServ, a world-renowned technology and supply chain consultancy, has recently commenced operations in Sri Lanka through its dedicated Global Resource Center which employs 50 experts in their relevant industry fields.
RigServ offers its clients industry expertise along with data-driven, unbiased and creative solutions to their most challenging situations. RigServ was founded in 2014 by operational and technical leaders in Houston, TX with the primary goal of helping customers and solving difficult business problems in a cost effective manner.
The company currently has an impressive repertoire of clients including APM Terminals, Maersk Drilling, Transocean, ARO Drilling, Endeavor Energy Resources, Pinnacle Asset Integrity Services, CVR Energy and Seadrill.
RigServ’s current active projects include supply chain consulting, technology and systems consulting, supply chain outsourcing, enterprise business intelligence reporting, process improvement, ERP systems management, master data maintenance and cleanup, inventory reviews, full life cycle software development, business transformations, project management and quality management.
As a member of IFS’ growing partner network since 2015, RigServ’s services will span the following areas: Implementations of robust enterprise resource planning (ERP) software solutions, asset management management (EAM) and enterprise service management (ESM) of IFS. The new agreement aims to support IFS’s goal of developing an ecosystem that enables companies to better penetrate the market by enhancing technology and knowledge resources for IFS products.

Coinciding with the launch, RigServ has entered into a partnership with the University of Colombo to offer a scholarship to 2 batch technology students for their entire degree, i.e. 4 years. Additionally, RigServ intends to train and certify IFS candidates fresh out of college with the aim of producing new resources for the IFS ecosystem and providing opportunities for fresh graduates in the country. Commenting on the venture, RigServ co-CEO/co-founder Christopher Collins said that RigServ was delighted to have partnered with the prestigious University of Colombo to train future professionals: “We see this initiative as a win-win; we have access to a pool of bright young minds and prospective interns have the opportunity to gain international experience and exposure – in Sri Lanka – working under the mentorship of our experts.
