Four Santa Barbara lawyers have come together to create the new Thyne Taylor Fox Howard law firm.
The firm recently moved into its new office at 205 E. Carrillo St. in downtown Santa Barbara. Senior Partner John Thyne is a longtime Santa Barbara lawyer who co-founded Santa Barbara-based real estate brokerage firm Goodwin & Thyne Properties. He taught at Santa Barbara and Ventura law schools for over 20 years and served on the board of directors of the Santa Barbara County Bar Association and as president of the Santa Barbara County Bar Foundation.
Thyne also practices entertainment law and serves as an expert witness for real estate brokerage obligations and property appraisals, according to a press release from Thyne Taylor Fox Howard.
Partner Lacy Taylor graduated from the Santa Barbara College of Law in her law class as a major and was a partner with the firm’s predecessor for six years.
As the former businesswoman who owns Anacapa Dive Center in Santa Barbara, Taylor brings a practical perspective to the practice of law, the firm said in its press release. She specializes in civil litigation, landlord-tenant litigation and corporate law.
Partner Justin Fox has practiced alongside members of the firm for the past eight years and focuses on estate planning, real estate portfolio management, corporate law, intellectual property, technology and entertainment.
Partner Jerry Howard is a seasoned litigator who has successfully advocated for Fortune 500 client companies in contract litigation, business, premises liability, labor and employment law and insurance matters before federal and state courts across the country. Howard also has an estate planning practice and has handled a number of estate administration, probate and litigation files.
Partner lawyer Angela Greenspan, who will focus on business law, will join the firm’s partners.
