Global consulting firm AlixPartners strengthened its digital practice in Germany with Gökhan Öztürk.

The senior employee has been appointed general manager of digital practice, based in the Munich office of AlixPartners. He brings to the company nearly two decades of digital strategy and consulting experience gained from two industry counterparts.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Öztürk worked at Oliver Wyman where he recently led the digital practice for financial services in several countries in the EMEA region, including Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, Russia and Turkey. Öztürk was also the head of Oliver Wyman’s Frankfurt office.

Previously, Öztürk spent two years at Roland Berger, as co-head of the Digital Services Financial & Technology practice, and approximately a decade at Accenture, where he laid the foundations for his career in financial services consulting.

He also works regularly with financial technology and asset management companies, and assists players in the financial services landscape with M&A due diligence assessments.

Along with his work for clients, Öztürk is known as an expert in artificial intelligence and regularly publishes on digital topics, having published articles in Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review, among others.

“I am delighted to welcome Gökhan to AlixPartners. He brings extensive digital financial services experience to AlixPartners’ growing EMEA team at a time of significant disruption in the industry, ”said Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners.
